Privacy Policy
About this notice
James Hardwick, trading as SlotsUnpacked, is the controller responsible for personal information handled through this website. This notice explains how personal information is handled. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@slotsunpacked.co.uk.
Visiting the website
We use Hostinger to host SlotsUnpacked. Hostinger documents logging of website requests, including IP addresses, request times, requested resources and browser or device information. These records support website operation, troubleshooting and security.
For personal information needed to deliver the website, investigate faults and protect it against misuse, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a reliable and secure website. This purpose does not include advertising or behavioural profiling.
The hosting account lists the live server in the United Kingdom and backups in Germany. Hostinger CDN is enabled. Those locations do not describe every location where supporting services may process information.
Retention of hosting records
Hostinger support confirmed on 28 September 2026 that its general backup policy provides the last seven days of daily backups and the last seven weeks of weekly backups during an active service. It also confirmed that website backups are deleted 90 days after cancellation. That 90-day period describes deletion after cancellation, not how long backups remain available to restore.
Retention during an active service for manually created backups remains unconfirmed. Hostinger has not confirmed retention periods or deletion rules for website access logs, security, abuse-prevention or CDN request logs, or details of internal legal, security and disaster-recovery exceptions. We will update this notice when reliable service-specific information is available.
Hostinger’s privacy policy describes its general retention approach. We have not treated that as a confirmed deletion schedule for these website records.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments. We use the relevant information to respond and keep the records needed to handle your enquiry. Please avoid sending personal information that is not needed for your message.
We use Google Workspace to receive and store email. For ordinary enquiries and corrections, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering messages, handling corrections and maintaining necessary correspondence.
Our policy is to delete routine enquiries 12 months after they are resolved. Relevant records may be kept longer for an ongoing agreement, dispute or legal obligation. Mail-service recovery and backup copies can remain for a further period under the provider’s deletion process.
Providers and international processing
Hostinger supplies website hosting and Google Workspace supplies email. Both use supporting providers to deliver their services. Information may be processed outside the UK.
Hostinger’s data processing addendum describes contractual safeguards for relevant international transfers, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable. Hostinger support has not confirmed the CDN processing regions or transfer safeguards that apply specifically to this site. The linked general terms should not be read as that account-specific confirmation.
Google’s published transfer information describes reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for covered US transfers, with contractual provisions for other restricted transfers. See Google’s data processing terms and transfer information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Complianz to remember your privacy choices. Its necessary cookies, with names beginning cmplz_, record your choice and the version of the notice for up to 365 days. The consent tool may also use browser storage. Signed-in administration uses cookies to maintain access.
Optional Google Analytics helps us understand which pages people visit, how they find the site and whether our guides are being read. It records page views and basic visit information such as referring sites, browser and device details, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We rely on your consent for this analytics processing.
Choose Accept analytics to allow measurement or Reject analytics to continue without it. You can change your choice using Manage consent. Rejecting analytics does not restrict access to our guides.
Google Tag Manager delivers the analytics configuration. Our Analytics tag is set to run only after analytics consent, excluding signed-in administrators and previews. Google Signals, advertising personalisation, user-provided data collection and enhanced measurement are switched off. We do not use this setup for advertising audiences or deposit tracking.
Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_KLC0R9P7SG) are configured to expire after 60 days without extending that expiry on each visit. User-level and event-level data retention is set to two months; aggregated reporting can remain available for longer. Google processes Analytics information on our behalf under its data processing terms. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Our guides link to sources and support services. If you follow an external link, the destination website’s privacy information explains how it handles your visit. Any future affiliate or measurement arrangement will need an accurate explanation and appropriate controls before activation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of its use or a portable copy. If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will consider your request under the applicable rules.
