Gates of Olympus is Pragmatic Play’s original six-reel Pay Anywhere slot. Eight or more matching symbols can win anywhere on the 6×5 screen, then the winning symbols disappear and replacements tumble into the empty positions. Multiplier symbols can reach 500x, while four or more Zeus scatters trigger 15 free spins.
MrQ’s public Gates of Olympus page stated 94.50% when checked on 1 October 2026. The current provider pages did not state an RTP, and no loaded operator client was inspected. Check the information screen for the exact version available to you. RTP is a long-run theoretical measure, not a promised return for your session.

How Gates of Olympus works
Gates of Olympus does not use fixed paylines. A win starts when at least eight matching symbols appear anywhere on the 6×5 screen. Those symbols are removed and new symbols fall into the gaps. If the replacement symbols make another win, the tumble continues without a new paid spin.
The number of matching symbols sets the base payout. Pragmatic Play’s current page describes awards for eight to 30 matching symbols. Use the paytable in the version available to you for the exact symbol values.
This is a scatter-pay system. Pragmatic Play’s 2021 launch article also used the phrase “20 paylines”, but that conflicts with its own Pay Anywhere description and the current product page. SlotsUnpacked has not carried the 20-payline figure into the game facts.
Multiplier symbols
Winged multiplier symbols can appear in the base game or during free spins. The original game’s published multiplier values run up to 500x.
BetVictor and Virgin Games describe the base-game multipliers as being added together at the end of a winning tumble sequence, then applied to its total win. They reset for the next paid spin. This detail comes from the public operator descriptions; no loaded client was inspected.
Later games in the series use different multiplier ceilings and rules. The 1,000x or 2,500x figures attached to Gates of Olympus 1000 and Gates of Olympus 2500 do not belong to the original slot.
Free spins
Four or more Zeus scatter symbols trigger 15 free spins. Winning multiplier symbols add to a running total during the feature. BetVictor and Virgin Games say that total is applied on a later winning spin when another multiplier symbol appears; it is not automatically applied to every winning free spin.
The public operator descriptions disagree about retriggers. MrQ says three scatters award three additional spins; BetVictor and Virgin Games describe five extra spins for three or more scatters. The retrieved provider page does not resolve that detail, and no loaded client was inspected. Check the retrigger rule in the version available to you. BetVictor’s FAQ also says three scatters start the feature, conflicting with its main explanation and the provider’s four-scatter rule.
“Free spins” in this section means the feature inside the game. It does not mean an operator promotion. A welcome offer can award spins on an entirely different slot.
RTP and version checks
RTP describes a theoretical return over a large number of plays. It does not predict one spin or one session. This review has not established a provider-wide RTP from the retrieved primary sources.
Operator versions can differ. MrQ’s public Gates of Olympus page displayed 94.50% on 1 October 2026. The current Pragmatic Play pages retrieved for this review did not display an RTP percentage, and no loaded real-money game client was inspected.
Check the game’s information or help screen at the operator you are considering. That screen is the closest evidence for the version available to your account. Also check whether optional controls appear. Virgin Games publicly describes an Ante Bet that raises the stake by 25%, but that is an operator-specific observation, not proof that every Great Britain version includes it.
Where the original game is publicly listed in Great Britain
| Operator | Public evidence checked 1 October 2026 | RTP shown publicly | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|---|
| MrQ | Exact original Gates of Olympus page naming Pragmatic Play | 94.50% | Loaded-client RTP, current launchability and individual eligibility |
| BetVictor | Exact original game page and all-slots catalogue entry | No percentage on the page retrieved | Loaded-client RTP, current launchability and individual eligibility |
| Virgin Games | Exact original game page, separate from 1000 and Virgin Gates of Olympus | No percentage on the page retrieved | Loaded-client RTP, current launchability and individual eligibility |
These observations establish that each operator publicly listed the original title. They do not establish access for every customer, the build loaded after sign-in or whether a promotion applies.
There is no evidence-led operator recommendation on this page yet. The current public material does not establish a useful difference in access, version clarity, eligibility or terms that would support a Best for judgement. The operator-stated RTP at MrQ is material information, but a percentage alone is not enough to recommend another operator whose loaded version was not checked.
Is Gates of Olympus likely to suit you?
The original game is straightforward to read: scatter-pay wins, repeated tumbles and multiplier symbols. The more volatile design means its published return is distributed unevenly over the long run. That says nothing about the result of your next spin.
It may appeal if you want the multiplier mechanic to carry into a free-spins feature. If you prefer fixed paylines, Wild substitutions or a lower-volatility pattern, this works differently. The versions named 1000, 2500, POP and Super Scatter also need separate checks; they are not upgrades you can treat as the same game.
Questions about Gates of Olympus
What is the Gates of Olympus RTP?
MrQ stated 94.50% on its public page when checked on 1 October 2026. The retrieved provider pages did not state an RTP, and no loaded operator client was inspected. Check the information screen for the version available to you. RTP does not predict a session return.
How do wins work?
At least eight matching symbols need to appear anywhere on the 6×5 screen. Winning symbols disappear and replacements tumble into the empty positions, which can create another win in the same sequence.
How are free spins triggered?
Four or more Zeus scatters trigger 15 free spins in the original game. Public operator descriptions disagree about the number of extra spins awarded by a retrigger, so check that rule in the game information screen.
Is Gates of Olympus 1000 the same game?
No. Gates of Olympus 1000 is a later title with different multiplier and maximum-win values. This guide covers the original game announced by Pragmatic Play in February 2021.
